There's no app to download. No payment up front. No commitment to anything until you've spoken to a dentist about your specific case. The whole process takes about three weeks from first conversation to flying home with a new smile, give or take.
You start with a conversation. Mara, our AI concierge, asks about your smile concerns, your dental history, your timeline, your budget, and your travel preferences. It's not a form — it's a real conversation, in your own words, going at your pace.
By the end, she'll have narrowed your case to a destination (Istanbul, Cancún, or San José) and a procedure plan. She'll outline a sample week and recommend two or three specific clinics that fit.
Within 24 hours of your chat, a real human at Ivory Atlas reviews your case. Not a sales rep — someone who knows the clinics, the procedures, and the cities. They reach out by email or WhatsApp with the case summary, the clinic shortlist, and any questions Mara couldn't answer.
We don't take payment at this stage. There's no commitment.
The next step is the most important: you talk directly to the dentists. We schedule 15-20 minute video consults with two or three clinics from the shortlist. They review your photos and X-rays (if you have them) or give you guidance on getting them. Each sends back a written treatment plan and a quote.
This is where most patients realise that the dentist abroad is, in many cases, more experienced and more attentive than the one they had at home.
You compare quotes and pick a clinic. Once you've decided, we coordinate everything: hotel booking close to the clinic, airport transfers on arrival and departure, daily clinic-to-hotel transfers when needed, restaurant recommendations for soft food, and a city briefing for your downtime.
You book your own flights (we recommend dates and routes); the clinic confirms the appointment schedule. Done.
A typical trip is 5 to 7 days. The first day is consultation, X-rays, and treatment plan finalisation. The middle days are surgical or preparatory work. The last day or two are final fittings and bite checks. Your specialist is on WhatsApp throughout — for language help, restaurant questions, anything that comes up.
You don't pay us during the trip. You pay the clinic directly, on their terms — usually half on day one, half on the day of final cementation.
You fly home with a written follow-up plan: how to care for the new work, what to expect in the first weeks, when to schedule a US-based check-up. We help find a US dentist willing to do follow-up on someone else's work — a small but important detail most patients don't think about until later.
For implant cases that require a return trip, we coordinate that too — typically 3-4 months later, 3-4 days in city.
A note on what we earn: Ivory Atlas is paid by the clinic, not by you, and only after you've completed treatment and flown home satisfied. We don't take deposits. We don't charge consultation fees. If you don't go through with the trip, we don't get paid — which is the alignment we wanted.
